Official Tournament Rules |

|
- The tournament will be held in the Hispánico stadium(next to the bullring). And the dates will be 1st,2nd and 3th of January of 2010
- Swiss System, 9 rounds (2 games friday, 2 games saturday morning, 3 games saturday afternoon, and 2 games sunday morning). Pairings will be made by computer (Swiss Perfect).
- Top seeded will be determined by 1) Elo FIDE; 2) National Elo 3) Alphabetical Order.
- Every player will have 35 minutes and 3 additional seconds by move. The games will be played with digital clocks.
- All players will have the obligation to annotate their game until they have 15 minutes.
- Tie systems applied in the tournament will be the following:
- Bucholz FIDE -1
- Bucholz FIDE total
- Sonnenbor-Berger
- Progresive
- Pairings
- It is possible to ask for 1 or 2 byes (only for the first and second round and thie organization must be informed in advance) any non-appearance unjustified may mean the exclusion of the tournament.
- All decisions from the chief arbiter will be unappealable.
- Tecnical direction of the Tournament is conformed by Arturo González Pruneda as Chief Arbiter, Juan Millán and José Sanzo as arbiter and Alfonso Romero Holmes as the Technical Director.
- The Organisation reserves the right to refuse admission in case that a player is not well dressed, will not keep la higiene adecuada or could cause problems to the Organisation.
- Everything not included in these regulations will be resolved by general FIDE Laws.
- The participation in this tournament includes the acceptance of these regulations.
